The policy aims to create a safe and positive environment for children and importantly specifies stakeholders’ responsibilities and roles in the protection of children.

Students spend a good portion of their time in schools, so it is school’s foremost responsibility to provide a safe and nurturing environment for them. We, as a developing school fully realize our responsibility in this regard, that’s why child protection is our top priority. This policy aims to create and implement a comprehensive child protection strategy.

This strategy is complied with The Child protection Bill, 2017. What is Child protection?

Child protection means safeguarding children from harm. Harm includes violence, abuse, exploitation and neglect. 

  • Violence means behavior involving physical force intended to hurt or damage child or surroundings. It includes verbal and physical altercations.
  • Abuse means any form of mistreatment or bullying by one individual that causes harm to another person. It can be done by any teacher or caregiver present around child. . It is also bullying through electronic means or social media, threats, weapon use, or gang activity.
  • Child exploitation is the act of using a minor child for profit, labor, sexual gratification, or some other personal or financial advantage. Child exploitation often results in cruel or harmful treatment of the child, as the activities he or she may be forced to take part in can cause emotional, physical, and social problems.
  • Child neglect is defined as any confirmed or suspected egregious act or omission by a caregiver that deprives a child of basic age-appropriate needs and thereby results, or has reasonable potential to result, in physical or psychological harm. Younger children are neglected most, and more girls suffer from neglect than boys.

We take into account of the following aspects to make sure the safeguard of children:

  • Safe hiring: All the members of staff are hired after careful review from all the aspects of their personality.
  • Staff Training: Child protection training is mandatory for all the staff members, including all and any member involved in care giving process for child.
  • Attendance Policy: According to our attendance policy, if any student is absent without any prior notice, teacher have to call the parents to check on student.
  • Performance and Behavior Evaluation policy: We have a well-defined performance and behavior Evaluation policy for the teachers to avoid favoritism and biasness against any child.
  • Complain Process: We have an accessible and transparent complain process.
  • Confidentiality and transparency against any filed complaints and decisions.
  • Child Protection committee: Child protection committee includes three member’s saqia tabbassum, Sana Bilal and Ummat ul atta.
  • Disciplinary Committee: Disciplinary committee insures the implementation of code of conduct for all the children.
  • Training and support: Training and support is provided in the form of workshops and training sessions for all the staff.
